On the road again....

We've been travelling since July, spending time with friends and family across the U.S. I think we've seen more states in a summer than most people see their whole lives. We've been from Colorado to Connecticut, up to Vermont and down to Virginia, through S. Carolina to Florida and up to N. Carolina and now Tennessee. Currently, we're at the Green Knees Farm near Rockford, TN helping our friends haul away some junk and cut back some trees. We're looking for a place to live and work over the winter.

The land in Florida didn't work out as we got carried off by mosquitos while attempting to line out which nearby trailers were squatting on the land, not to mention the thick sand that wouldn't grow anything. In all, we were there for about 45 minutes and we knew it wasn't the place for our sustainable retreat facility.

The change in plans has prompted Plan B and frankly, we're still trying to figure that out. But after reading excellent resources such as the Intentional Communities Directory and more, we also think it's an excellent opportunity to live in an existing community, so we can learn more about the process of community building, strengthening and communicating, not to mention the incredible systems out there for permaculture and sustainable energy designs.

We've put the intention out there to find a place for the winter. It's coming and we're spending each day giving back as much as possible and grateful for the journey that's been and the journey about to be!
