Big heads poured down the cobblestone street of San Sebastian in Old San Juan and I was there. They danced with the girls singing "Plenas" with drums and everyone having a good time.

When the sun set, the Hatillo festival guys came out with their Bacardi bat capes and the people surrounded them. It was a very happy day for Puerto Ricans!

Josiah's Bay, Tortola, BVI
Now with the absence of all the people, I sit alone on a north shore beach in Tortola. The waves continually pound out the sand. Surfers take turns and kids take lessons. Solitude has always renewed me when life seems to rush by. It gives me the space to dream big and the courage to pursue.
